History: Veronica Vasicka (2010)

with one comment

Founder of NY-based revivalist label Minimal Wave talks about her work.

Herself a diamond in the rough, Veronica’s pirate radio station-turned-label has fittingly refocused attention on some spectacular, mostly unknown or forgotten artists. Beyond reissues, Veronica’s bringing to light new talent with a penchant for stripped down, analog sounds, like Medio Mutante.

  1. I only just found this Minimal Wave label and VV, via Stones Throw’s Podcast (http://itunes.apple.com/podcast/stones-throw-podcast/id128983846). The 71: VV mix isn’t listed on ST podcast page (http://www.stonesthrow.com/podcast/), but it’s available at the iTunes link above.

ST collaborated to bring Vol 2 to release (http://www.stonesthrow.com/news/2012/02/video-ruins-fire-minimal-wave)
